Kalemegdan
Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan park are where it all begins. From the plateau by the Victor monument you can see the Sava flowing into the Danube and New Belgrade on the far bank, and the sunset from here is something visitors remember.
Knez Mihailova and Skadarlija
From the fortress, the pedestrian Knez Mihailova street leads to Republic Square. From there it is a short walk to Skadarlija, a cobbled bohemian street with taverns and traditional live music.
The Temple of Saint Sava
The Temple of Saint Sava is one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world. The interior with its golden mosaics is breathtaking, and the square in front is a favourite place for a stroll.
Zemun
End the day in Zemun: walk along the Danube embankment, climb up to the tower on Gardoš hill for the view, then have dinner in one of the fish restaurants by the river.
