The cathedral
In 1978 Aachen Cathedral became the first site in Germany on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It holds Charlemagne’s tomb and his stone throne.
Hot springs and Printen
Aachen has the hottest springs in this part of Europe, and you can bathe in thermal water at the Carolus Thermen. Try the local gingerbread too, called Printen.
